In their November 2010 edition, FourFourTwo paid suitable homage the greatest footballer of them all, Pele, as he celebrated his 70th birthday.

A string of superb photographs were featured in the piece as Pele gave brief answers to some of the most asked questions from his career. The 1970 World Cup looms large as he discusses Bobby Moore – ‘The best centre-back I’ve seen’ – and Gordon Banks – ‘Wherever I go, they show the save of Gordon Banks when I headed it in 1970. I scored a lot of goals in the World Cup but they only show this header and the save.’

Elsewhere he discusses the fact that, contrary to popular opinion, he did not invent the bicycle kick, the importance of winning the title with New York Cosmos and his memories of each World Cup that he played in.

The great man may be gone now, but he lives and breathes in this article. Read it here.
