Targeted advertising is perhaps the best way of getting must bag for your marketing buck, and the Royal International Horse Show certainly took that approach in April 1983 with a full page splash in Horse & Hound.
With the show heading for London’s White City in July ’83, not only did they inform the readership, they provided them with a booking form on which to book their tickets. No dynamic pricing in those days, just a straightforward run of prices depending on where you wanted to sit. Call me old fashioned, but some might say that’s a good idea.
