Instead, Mr/Mrs/Miss Thomas was looking for the chance to continue taking spiritual enlightenment while on holiday, particularly in those heathen foreign climes. ‘What suggestions would [readers] offer so that clergy who are going on holiday (who are potential holiday chaplains) can be of most use to churchgoing caravanners?’
